Fear of dating? Lack of confidence? Let's talk about post-COVID dating
When meeting new people, we’re all a bit rusty at the moment. It's been over a year since we were first isolated in our homes. You may feel like you lost your groove, or you've developed some social anxiety. The first thing you should remember is that most people are likely feeling the same emotions and anxieties you are. During the pandemic, places that used to make dating fun, like restaurants and cafes, were considered 'unsafe'. How do we get excited for in-person dating after isolation?
Now that COVID-19 vaccines are predicting a return to a more normal lifestyle, we can start to get excited to put down our phones and meet face-to-face. We’re still transitioning to a post-pandemic world, so we have some time to gear-up for in person dates.
My advice? Take some time to reconnect with you. It's easy to fill your time at home with distractions like Netflix, dating apps, TikTok, and endless FaceTime calls. Set aside some time every day to write down your personal goals, what you want for the future, and what you're going to do to get there. Try to do at least 30 minutes of exercise every day, even if you're just taking your dog for a walk each morning. This will not only boost your confidence but clear your mind as well.

Most of all, remember you're not alone. We are all in this together, and if you need some extra help, call a matchmaker!
