Toronto dating during COVID-19

As Covid restrictions loosen, more Torontonians are re-entering the dating world. Some are sticking to virtual romance while others are approaching in-person dates with caution. The pandemic has inspired some creative ways to date, including socially distanced activities and outdoor excursions. Although dating culture right now is different than what we’re used to, I think it has given us more opportunity to grow a connection with fellow suiters on a deeper level because, well, we do not have the same distractive environments at our disposal.

We pride ourselves on helping singles meet their match, whether it’s during a pandemic or not. Our recommendations during these trying times are to take the time to chat with a new interest for at least a few days consistently before meeting. Remember to take extra preauction given they are a new person and not a part of your cohort. Make sure that you have enough in common, enjoyable conversation, and attraction before you take the option of meeting face to face. This of course helps limit the spread of COVID-19, while also keeping yourself and your date safe.

You can take your date on a beautiful walk and enjoy a picnic in Trinity Bellwood’s park, or enjoy a tour of the Toronto islands and enjoy the water, and beaches. You may also want to take your date on a picturesque hike along the Scarborough Bluffs. Extending for 14km along Toronto’s eastern waterfront, the Scarborough Bluffs hold up to even the best national parks in Canada. No matter the weather, the park along the base offers spectacular views of the jutting cliffs and Lake Ontario, whereas hiking trails, meadows, gardens, forests, and beaches round out the outdoor activities. The Bluffs are the ideal place to stroll around in romance, while thrill-seekers can head on top to the grassy lookout points for some of Toronto’s most Instagram-friendly photo opportunities.
